Terms of Service & Pro License
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CATerm desktop application, web services, and CATerm Pro subscription licenses provided by Fathforce Studio and Cecep Saeful Azhar Hidayat, ST.
01. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or purchasing a license for CATerm, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use Policy. If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of an entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity.
02. Product Description & Architecture
CATerm is a sovereign, local-first terminal emulator and cloud fleet management client built on Rust.
- Free / Core Edition: Standard terminal multiplexing, local SSH/SFTP sessions, serial port communication, zero telemetry, and client-side SQLCipher encrypted vault. Free forever for personal and commercial use under the open-source license.
- CATerm Pro (Paid Subscription): Unlocks advanced enterprise features including AI Ops Copilot (contextual CLI generation and log explanation), encrypted cloud fleet sync, multi-node broadcasting, priority updates, and automated incident dossiers.
03. CATerm Pro Subscriptions, Billing & Payment Processing
CATerm Pro is offered under monthly and annual subscription plans, as well as occasional promotional lifetime licenses.
Merchant of Record: Payments and billing for CATerm Pro licenses are securely processed by Creem (or Lemon Squeezy where applicable) as authorized Merchants of Record. All payment card transactions, global sales tax, VAT calculation, and invoicing are handled by the Merchant of Record under strict PCI-DSS compliance.
License Activation & Seats: Upon purchase, you receive an Ed25519-signed cryptographic Pro License Key. An individual Pro license authorizes activation on up to three (3) personal workstations owned or operated by the licensed user.
Automatic Renewal: Subscription licenses renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled prior to the renewal date via your customer portal.
04. Cancellation & Refund Policy
We stand behind the engineering quality of CATerm. We offer a transparent, hassle-free cancellation and refund policy:
- 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee: If you are not satisfied with CATerm Pro, you may request a 100% full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase by contacting [email protected].
- Instant Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time with a single click via the Member Area or the billing receipt link sent to your email. Your Pro features remain active until the end of your current paid period.
05. AI Ops Copilot Terms
CATerm Pro includes AI Ops Copilot powered by verified LLM models. By using AI Ops Copilot, you agree that:
- Human-in-the-Loop Verification: AI Ops Copilot proposes terminal commands and configuration snippets based on context. You are solely responsible for reviewing and confirming every command before execution.
- Strict Compliance: You must strictly adhere to the Acceptable Use Policy. Using AI Ops Copilot for malicious exploitation, unauthorized penetration scanning, or illegal cyber operations results in immediate license revocation without refund.
06. Intellectual Property & Software Sovereignty
CATerm, its logos, trademarks, and proprietary backend synchronization services are the intellectual property of Cecep Saeful Azhar Hidayat, ST and Fathforce Studio. The open-source client codebase is licensed under the MIT License, while Pro cloud enhancements and proprietary branding are reserved.
07. Limitation of Liability & Warranty
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CATERM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL CATERM, ITS DEVELOPERS, OR FATHFORCE BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING SERVER DOWNTIME, DATA LOSS, OR SECURITY BREACHES ON MANAGED MACHINES) ARISING FROM THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE.
