Policy Version 2.0 · Applicable to AI Ops Copilot & Automation Engine

Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

As the developer and operator of CATerm, Cecep Saeful Azhar Hidayat, ST provides AI Ops Copilot to accelerate DevOps workflows, automate infrastructure management, and secure fleet operations. This Acceptable Use Policy defines the specific actions permitted and strictly forbidden when generating or executing commands via our AI systems.

01. Permitted & Authorized Uses

You may use CATerm and AI Ops Copilot to generate, execute, and manage the following operational commands:

  • Deployment & Scaling: Automated CI/CD builds, container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes), and rolling out code to production or staging environments.
  • Monitoring & Alerting: Continuous log streaming, parsing log error contexts, generating incident dossiers, and tuning alert thresholds.
  • Resource Management: Managing systemd services, rotating logs, configuring network interfaces, setting firewall rules, and scaling virtual machines.
  • Security & Hardening: Patching OS packages, auditing file permissions, scanning vulnerabilities on authorized hosts, and enforcing fail2ban limits.
  • SaaS Pro Automation: Executing API calls to SaaS backends under your account, and managing encrypted credentials within your local vault.

02. Prohibited Uses & Deny-List

Under no circumstances may CATerm, AI Ops Copilot, or our infrastructure be used to generate, execute, or facilitate the following actions:

  • Malware & Ransomware: Generating, compiling, or deploying malware, ransomware, Trojan horses, rootkits, or cryptominers.
  • Unauthorized Penetration: Running port scans, exploiting vulnerabilities, or performing brute-force credential attacks on infrastructure not owned or explicitly authorized by you in writing.
  • System Destruction: Executing destructive shell commands targeting host operating system volumes or critical data (e.g., `rm -rf /`, `mkfs` on active partitions, or wiping system partitions) intentionally to cause data loss.
  • Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS): Scripting or leveraging server nodes to launch volumetric DDoS attacks against any internet host or service.
  • Data Exfiltration: Using terminal automation to bypass enterprise access controls to exfiltrate confidential, classified, or sensitive personal data.

03. Human-in-the-Loop & Operational Responsibility

AI Ops Copilot is a highly accurate advisory engine for SREs, DevOps, and cloud engineers; however, it does not replace engineering review. When requesting or executing AI-generated commands, you are responsible for:

  • Pre-execution Review: Manually reviewing AI-generated commands against your intended objectives and system architecture.
  • Environment Isolation: Testing destructive or high-impact commands in isolated dev/sandbox environments prior to production deployment.
  • Backup Protocols: Ensuring recent snapshots or backups exist on target systems before executing infrastructure-level changes.

04. Enforcement & Policy Violations

To protect the integrity and security of our ecosystem, strict enforcement measures apply to Acceptable Use Policy violations:

  • Immediate Revocation of License: We reserve the right to immediately suspend or permanently revoke CATerm Pro licenses without refund upon discovering misuse, malicious deployment, or AI hallucination exploitation.
  • Permanent Banning: We may block and report IP ranges or user accounts engaged in malicious command generation.
  • Legal Action: In serious cases of cybercrimes (ransomware deployment, DDoS attacks, unauthorized access), we will cooperate with relevant law enforcement authorities.
